Putnam on HR 2454

I received a response from my rep. Adam Putnam when I wrote regarding the Cap and Tax bill. He voted against it, as I expected, but one paragraph from his email was very striking.

Fundamentally, the bill fails to ensure that an adequate amount of renewable or alternative energy sources are developed and deployed to compensate for the bill’s declining cap on fossil fuel emissions, as well as foster development of clean nuclear power. Instead, it would impose 397 new regulations and 1060 new mandates on the American public.

Wow! No wonder they didn’t want anyone to read it before they voted. It has hard to imagine a more intrusive, destructive piece of legislation (although I’m sure they’ll try). We must stop this in the Senate. Call, write, fax, email your Senators today.

It’s just freaking amazing what the Dems think they can railroad over us. …Oh wait, it was eight “Republicans” who railroaded us. My parents were watching the CSPAN coverage and said that once the GOP NO votes went over 8, Dems (presumably in vulnerable, purple districts) started voting NO fast and furious. We can’t ever win if we allow crap like this to go unanswered.

I’ve been kicking around this world for quite a while, and I’ve never been so worried and incensed about what is going on in DC. This is going to kill the economy, kill jobs, and DO NOTHING!

I don’t even know what to say. At least you got a response from your congressman. I got nothing. Then again, he’s a democrat….in NJ. Need I say more?

If I still lived in NJ I would be in District 2, home of Frank LoBiondo. I don’t know him, but I do recognize the family name. Calls himself a Republican and voted for this joke of a bill.

He and a few others sold their souls.
