I figured out how President Obama is going to “create or save” a googleplex of jobs — He’s going to appoint them all as czars. Michelle Malkin pointed out the latest unaccountable appointee, Kenneth Feinberg, as “Pay Czar” — officially “Special Master of Compensation”.
Now as scary as that is, the Pay Czar is only the latest in a long line of these appointments.

A few days back Glenn Beck did a good number on all of the czars and how way outside constitutionality they are. And of course, nobody’s really griping except us right-wing extremists being carefully watched by DHS. SO he’s basically free to go nuts with this. I see it now: David Brooks as Loyal Opposition Czar.

I keep thinking of it as an end run around the balance of powers. The scariest thing is some of the tasks they are being assigned. Pay Czar? What business does the executive branch (or the government at all) have in dictating and mandating to private business?
