If I have one quality when it comes to web design it is “Bulldoggedness”. When I get hold of a ham bone of a problem I just won’t let go. (Ask Wyatt, Dana, or Brian.)

The Blogiversary Database was putting one such soup bone in front of me. One of the reasons I considered dropping the program was the fact that I have been getting 10 – 20 spam submissions for every legitimate one. For the past week I’ve been working on making adjustments to the submission form that would fix that problem. To be honest, I’m not sure if that speaks to my determination or my mediocrity as a programmer, but either way the changes have been made.

There is still more work to be done. I want to make some improvements on the display and look at ways to expand the reach of the program. There are already quite a few things on my to-do list. Here is yours:

  • If you haven’t already listed your blog — Do It!
  • If you have entered your blog information in the database, have you added the display code? You can find out how on my Blogiversary Database Page.
  • Bloggers like to change their layout and design. If you’ve changed your site don’t forget to include the code in your new digs. My recent purge found quite a few sites that had the code at one time that no longer displayed it. Most of the additions to the database come from sites displaying the code.
  • Another way you can really help is by promoting the Blogiversary Database. Link to this post or the information page. If I still have the ability to do inline trackbacks I’ll add them to this post. (Another thing I haven’t done in a while. Man is my to-do list getting long.)

Well, you have your assignment. What are you waiting for?

Oh, here are the latest statistics:
Blogs in the database: 343 (314 Confirmed – 29 Unconfirmed)
96 Blogs (27.99 %) have the code on their site.

UPDATE: After some minor editing inline trackbacks and pingbacks work.
