Just a word . . .

. . . about my day job.

I’ve written way to many “why I haven’t been blogging lately” posts. This is the last one. I promise.

While Fay more or less missed us, it still impacted my day job. For the 99.99% of you who don’t know, my day job involves scheduling for large call center. We handle incoming customer service type calls from all around the country. When the county closed the schools in anticipation of Fay most of the local day cares did the same. Getting coverage for all of our programs took up more time than usual. Add in the first day of school on Monday, a day of everything closing up on Tuesday and an attempt to get things back to normal on Wednesday and, well, I hope you all understand.

For all of you who have been so kind to inquire, we are all fine. We lost a few palm fronds, but we can lose those on a calm day. Lots of rain, a little more wind than normal, and that was pretty much Fay for here.

I’m tired, but the batteries should be recharged soon.
