Thirty Things: Part 2
By Jim Lynch on May 13, 2008 in Fun Stuff, Miscellaneous
Earlier today, riffing off of a post by Uncle Jimbo, I posted 10 things I believe about politics. Here are 10 more things I believe.
11. I believe that thinking other people are better than you is as big a waste of time as thinking that you are better than other people. You are going to be right half the time, but you’ll probably never know which half.
12. I’ve made mistakes. I’ll make more. It’s ok.
13. I believe that living in the USA is an unbelievable privilege.
14. The office of President of the United States deserves the utmost respect, no matter who is the occupant. Disagreeing with a presidents polices or actions is no excuse for disrespecting the office. I’ve been guilty of this before. I’ll try to do better.
15. Blogging is a stress reliever — and stress causer — in nearly equal measures.
16. The best advice I ever received was, “there are only two things you can control: your attitude and your actions.” Trying to control anything else is pretty much a waste of time.
17. I believe that worrying too much is much more common than not worrying enough.
18. I believe that the founding fathers were geniuses. Fully human and flawed, but geniuses non the less.
19. The Coke Zero commercials are the stupidest ever made.
20. I believe I’ll go watch game 3 now.
