Today’s Big Contest
By Jim Lynch on Apr 22, 2008 in 2008, Sports
I’ll be watching this contest closely, as will many others inside the beltway and in the Keystone State. Of course I’m talking about game 7 between the Flyers and the Capitols.
I understand there’s another contest in Pa. as well. I may keep a bit of an eye on that one as well, but it won’t be nearly as interesting.
UPDATE I: Tied 1-1 at the end of the first period. Tied 2-2 and the end of the second. In the under-card Clinton leads Obama with very few precincts reporting. Fox News is reporting Hillary as the winner based on exit polls. That’s not the story of course. The real news will be the final margin.
UPDATE II: No one scored in the third. This game seven is going to overtime. (54%-46% Clinton over Barry O. with 33% reporting).
FLYERS WIN IN OVERTIME!!! Lupul sends Philly to face the Canadians.
