Nader Returns
By Jim Lynch on Feb 24, 2008 in 2008
FOX News is reporting that Ralph Nader has announced that he is entering the 2008 race. Nothing online yet.
UPDATE: AP has this:
He says most Americans are disenchanted with the Democratic and Republican parties, and that none of the presidential contenders are addressing ways to stem corporate crime and Pentagon waste and promote labor rights.
Nader also ran as a third-party candidate in the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections. He is still loathed by many Democrats who call him a spoiler and claim his candidacy in 2000 cost the party the election by siphoning votes away from Al Gore in a razor-thin contest in Florida.
What will his candidacy mean for the 2008 election? Let’s hear your thoughts in the comments.
I’ve added at poll in the sidebar.

I think. there is a problem with your poll. There is no choice to vote for between “some” and “a lot.” I will vote Republican, but I will listen to what Ralph Nader has to say. What he says is always interesting, and it is not talking points based on political contributions. democrats aren’t going to be voting for Nader, not will Republicans. His votes will come from true independents. But what is most important is that he has a good track record of pointing out when the Emperor has no clothes. In this respect he is good for both parties, a sort of left lean ing conscience. I think he will have a fair amount of impact, but it won’t be to the detriment of either party.
