Ads That Work (For The Competition)
By Jim Lynch on Feb 29, 2008 in 2008
I am really scratching my head this morning. John McCain may not need to worry about raising massive amounts of cash for the general election since his two opponents seem hell bent on creating campaign ads for him.
First Barack Obama came out with his surrender video:
Some have suggested that Sen. McCain should thank Obama for the gift and use this video every day of the general campaign.
Obviously Sen. Clinton didn’t want to be left out of the party. She has a new ad running in Texas called “Children”. I don’t have a YouTube link to the video (and won’t be able to find one while I’m at work), but Yahoo News has the transcript.
SCRIPT: Announcer: “It’s 3 a.m. and your children are safe asleep. But there’s a phone in the White House and it’s ringing. Something’s happening in the world.” (Sound of a phone ringing.) “Your vote will decide who answers that call, whether it’s someone who already knows the world’s leaders [? ed.], knows the military [?? ed.], someone tested [??? ed.] and ready to lead in a dangerous world [???? ed.]. It’s 3 a.m. and your children are safely asleep. Who do you want answering the phone?“
I can assure you that the answer to that question is NOT Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama.
