Blogburst For Fred Thompson
By Jim Lynch on Dec 27, 2007 in 2008, Fred Thompson
Time to man the oars.
Rick Moran uses the example of the Marblehead Regiment, the men who rowed Washington’s troops across the Delaware on Christmas Eve, to kick off this Blogburst for Fred Thompson.
But where there is a will to fight, so there is a will to win. It doesn’t matter how many pundits, pollsters, and assorted “experts” have written off Fred Thompson. What matters is that there is still a chance, still life in the campaign, and still a belief that the race can be won. Your support is absolutely crucial to propel the campaign forward, to build on the momentum generated by Thompson’s bus tour through Iowa by giving as much as you possibly can.
The campaign has set a goal of raising $248,000 by sundown on Friday so that they can run a new ad in Iowa. This ad could make the difference and allow Thompson to make a surprise showing in the Iowa Caucuses a week from tomorrow. Exceeding expectations is the game now and this media buy could very well put Fred in a very strong position coming out of Iowa.
So climb aboard and grab an oar. Join the Marbleheaders for Fred and contribute as much as you possibly can to make this Blogburst a big success.
In part, the money raised will be used to run this ad in Iowa:
Bloggers can help by posting about the blogburst. Everyone can help by giving whatever amount they are able to contribute.

I sent $100.00 this morning when it was at approx $67,374.00. The MSM has done a good job convincing people Fred can’t win. It’s a shame people are so easily mislead. Vote with a clean conscious, stand on Principal, do your homework and you can only come to one conclusion. FRED THOMPSON!!

“There is no woman on the horizon that ought to be president next year, let’s all agree on that.”
Worst campaigner out there. What an ass. He meant it as a put down to Senator Clinton and instead he insulted all women.

Eve,
Oh My, are your feelings hurt. “Quick..Call SuperBill and the Clintonites and with all of your mighty-might Spin…Spin….Spin. Maybe we can make something from nothing with the help of CNN and the MSM.” OK.. back to reality… there will be a push to distort any Republican’s comments - you can bet on that, but from a conservatives point of view, there isn’t a woman on the horizon for the Presidency. This is preference not prejudice. In fact, Fred made mention of his daughter being the first female President in the conversation cited. We all know his comment was made in jest. And talking about being an @$$, you sound like one, or ignorant at best, if you read the complete story and came to the conclusion you posted. Please, grow up. VOTE FRED THOMPSON!!

Thanks Bill. The credit for this effort really goes to Rick Moran.

Eve (#2), I’m a woman, and I am NOT insulted. I happen to agree with him…this is no woman on the horizon right now who should be president.

The DataTroll can be added to the list. Was a goldwater Republican (boy, THAT wasn’t fashionable!) whor worked many years for Reagan and essentially retired from politics with Reagan. If Fred gets through the early states intact, I’ll break out the old door-to-door bag and hit the road again for the first time in 24 years. Don’t think I can do the 30,000 doors I left mailers on for Reagan in ‘80, but I’ll do what I can. Good fitness exercise as well

Wish I had a spare hundred grand or two, just laying around. :/

So do I, as well as the ability to donate more than $2,300 of it, but I’m tapped out at the moment.
At 7:45 pm Eastern, we passed the halfway point — $124,446 raised — $124,400 needed - 22:45 to go
steveegg | Dec 27, 2007 | Reply
I could pretend I was Hsu, and pass out bucks to donate.
Kate | Dec 27, 2007 | Reply
Now, now. We’re not the Clinton or Paul campaigns where cash just “magically” appears from straw donors.
