Hillary Clinton - Teacher’s Pet
By Jim Lynch on Nov 19, 2007 in 2008, Education, The Left
In addition to touting her non-existent “experience“, Hillary Clinton told Iowa teachers that merit pay is a bad idea.
Merit pay for teachers “could be demeaning and discouraging, and who would decide” who would receive it, she said in a meeting with teachers at Cunningham Elementary. “It would open a whole lot of problems.”
Typical. No reason to excel. No need to strive to be the best. That could be “demeaning and discouraging”. Just like the junk they’re teaching now. Don’t feel bad, we’re not keeping score.
She also told the kids,
“I want to be president to help every boy and girl have a better future, have the health care they need and get a good education and live your dreams.”
As long as they are state approved dreams of course.

Sort of a two-
facedheaded monster for Mrs Clinton to face (pun intended), because she’s both “applying” for a job and claiming that she is the most meritorious¹ and experienced² candidate for said position, and thus should be elected to it, but she’s also worried about an election which “could be demeaning and discouraging,” and worried about “who would decide.” After all, they might be prejudiced against her, because she’s a woman (though it’s perfectly acceptable, of course, to vote for her because she’s a woman).Mrs Clinton has already concluded that she’s the obvious only choice for president — but doesn’t particularly like the idea that she has to engage in something as messy as actually getting elected, but thinks it should be hers by acclamation.
