That the Phillies would choke was never in doubt. I had expected them to fall short during the regular season stretch run, but the Mets choked worse.

Of course, as a Cincinnati Reds fan (I grew up listening to Al Michaels and Joe Nuxhall on the Reds radio network), I haven’t got anything to crow about.
