It is really this simple
By Jim Lynch on Sep 7, 2007 in OBL, Radical Islam, War on Terrorism
This will be a very short post, because of the clarity of the choices before us.
Here is the message OBL has for the American people.
“There are two solutions to stopping it. One is from our side, and it is to escalate the fighting and killing against you. This is our duty, and our brothers are carrying it out,” bin Laden said.
“The second solution is from your side,” he said. “I invite you to embrace Islam.”
In other words, convert or we will kill you. If either of those alternatives are acceptable then we should leave Iraq, Afghanistan, and let the jihadist have America as well. If those alternatives are not acceptable, we stay and fight.
It really is that simple.

No, it’s the corporations. Corporations stand to make money through war, as they did after they killed JFK when Rumsfeld and Co. were murdering thousands of Vietnamese. They act ‘corporationy’ as a puppet version of Sean Penn once said.
Ron Paul also states it is simple. They hate us because we are over there. Paul never has taken into account the pre-OBL jihadist movement, so why should we? We should act like Paul and those other useful idiots and close our eyes to the history of the movement that dates prior to the re-invasion of Iraq. Everything else doesn’t exist, rather it’s just the imagination of a few crazy neocons.
In Bin Laden’s 1996 fatwa he laid it out very clear; as clear as it was presented in this latest missive. That was 11 years ago and the American public, by and large, still have no clue why the ‘Western world’ (read: non-Islamist world) are targets. You cannot spell it out more clearly for people looking past what is repeated to find mysterious root causes, especially when the root cause of the jihadist hatred is what is repeated and looked past.

Very well said. It is just that simple. If only we would remember that knowing our enemy is an important element to victory in warfare.

This has been al-Qaeda’s message all along, convert or die. I’m hearing translations from the islamic websites now from Walid Phares. They are mixed. The majority of terrorists did not like Bin Laden’s tape — too long, too many topics, not specific enough, no real message for the jihadists. Even Bin Laden can’t please all his little terrorists.
