Let’s try this again. I got up early, as usual. Read around the blogosphere and got ready to do my premier test broadcast on BlogTalkRadio. I signed in, waited for the time to count down, and started talking. I talked for 30 minutes. I am going to claim that it went unbelievably well. I can do that because for some reason nothing was recorded, so there’s no record of how good (or bad) it really was.
Now I don’t know if the problem was on their end or on mine. I have a feeling that BTR doesn’t play nicely with FireFox. However I was extremely and pleasantly surprised when I got a call this afteroon from Nikki with Host Liaison/Marketing Outreach at Blog Talk Radio. She called to ask if there had been a problem, and if there was anything they could do. Wow! I was impressed. That is an amazing level of customer service for something that you don’t have to pay for.
The upshot of our conversation is that I have scheduled a second test for tomorrow morning at 9:00am (EDT). You can click on the button to find the link to the live broadcast. UPDATE: It worked! The test broadcast is up. There were still a few issues, like an unhappy two year old in the background, I still can’t find my background music, and I sounded like I have a cold (which I do). Still, I think it went well. Nikki from BlogTalkRadio called in and talked for a few minutes. You can listen and let me hear your suggestions. I have inserted the player for the most recent broadcast at the top of the page.
