Tweaking The Blogiversary Database

UPDATED AGAIN. One final update on the blogs in the database. Several fine folks have added the code this evening. The count is now 43 of 155 blogs carrying the code. That’s 27.74%. A few bloggers have reminded me that blogs hosted with wordpress.com can’t add the javascript code. Basil has suggested a work around, but I’m bleary-eyed right now, so that will have to wait for another day. Thanks to everyone.

UPDATED and Bumped

I’ve been doing some playing around with the Blogiversary database today, most of which you will never see. One thing I did was to create a script that went out and found the blogs that have the displays code on their site. Of the 156 155 (found one that was in there twice) blogs that are currently in the database 37 39 have the code. That’s just under 24% 25.16%. As a thank you to those blogs, here is a list (if this works):

echo”“;

Please go by and thank them for their participation. Then you can remind these folks that they need to add the code to their blogs.

If you’re not on either list. . .well, why not? Add your blog today.

Thank you, Jim!

Sadly enough as much as I would love to add the Blogiversary code to my blog, as it stands WordPress.com does not allow java script, only HTML. I myself am not well versed in either really,(at all) and I’m not aware of any work around.??

Had I known I would not of been a bother. This happens often enough unfortunately. I register for many things, but am never aware of the code until after the registration process is complete. Damn road blocks. *Sigh Some I have managed to tweak but some I have trouble with. I am learning as I go.

If there is any to get around this, I’d be happy to hear it!

I’m sorry, but I hadn’t taken that into account. That gives me something to work on next.

No worries. For now I have added a special category for this very purpose, on my sidebar. Linking to this page and also to the registration page. ;)

Oh and I have added bRight & early to my blog roll.

I hope that helps some.

I’m happy to have the code in my side bar, right close to the top where it should be so I can consult it each morning. I have tried to visit each blog and wish them a happy blogiversary. I also mention it in a post on the correct day. With the holiday this past week, I have been a little lax I’m afraid.

Code’s up :)

Knock Knock, Housekeeping…

Consider this a ‘housekeeping’ post. Posting this holiday weekend has been very light for Right Truth. I’m blaming it on Thanksgiving, family, friends, football, contractors, and Christmas shopping. Normal posting will begin immediately after this p…

Thanks for the reminder. I put it up as soon as I got your message.
