Brian at Iowa Voice is a good friend and a good blogger. I am a daily visitor and regularly find interesting posts when I’m there.

His latest post, What Liberals Believe, As Told By A Liberal, is outstanding and very well could be some of his finest work. He takes apart the “10 propositions that seem to me to define “liberal” today,” that University of Chicago law professor Geoffrey R. Stone puts forth in a Chicago Tribune editorial.

Here’s a taste:

Affirmative action is not something the Democrats should be the least bit proud of. They’ve fostered more class warfare, bigotry, and racism through that policy than any other program I can think of, and it continues to do damage on a grand scale. The sense that someone is entitled to something just because they fall into a certain category goes against the grain of what America is all about. America is about equal opportunity, not equal outcomes.

Read the whole thing.

“liberals believe” have you considered the possibility that not ALL liberals share the exact same beliefs ? Do all conservatives pray at the same altar as Rev Phelps ?
