The headline on the AP story reads: Bush braces for fight if GOP loses House
Everything I’ve seen over the past week or two indicates that the president is upbeat and optimistic about the mid-term elections. What could he have said that generated such a headline?
The only quotes from President Bush in the article are these:
“Every session you change the way you do business with the Congress. And you test the mood of the Congress, find out what their appetite will be. But it doesn’t change your priorities,” the president told ABC News.

Bush has been quoted by journalist Bob Woodward as saying, “I’ll stay in Iraq even if the only support I have left is from my wife and my dog.”

Far from the impression the headline tries to leave. Typical.
