I believe humans get a lot done, not because we’re smart, but because we have thumbs so we can make coffee. ~ Flash Rosenberg
This morning’s First Cup is running late this morning due to something that should have never happened in the bRight & Early house . . . we forgot to buy coffee!! That oversight was correct as soon as the local grocery store opened it’s doors. Oh, I’ve been up and reading for quite a while now, but how could I be expected to function properly before hearing that last, gurgling-hiss that signals the pot is ready?
Captain’s Quarters (Ed Morrissey) We Know The Truth — And That’s The Problem — “Hamas PM Ismail Haniyeh writes at the end of a long and deception-filled screed in today’s Washington Post that “[i]f Americans only knew the truth,” we would stop supporting Israel in the struggle between the Palestinians and the Israelis. Even the briefest skim over Haniyeh’s column reveals that we will not get the truth from Hamas, as Haniyeh manages to hit all of the Hamas talking points while oddly neglecting to mention their part in escalating the conflict into open war in Gaza.”
PoliBlog (Dr. Steven Taylor) Free Cuba — “Aside from the obvious political ramifications in the Florida electorate, it is unclear to me what the negative ramifications of such a move would be. If we can make nice with Qadhafi, not to mention the Chinese, then I don’t see why it is beyond acceptable to normalize relations with Cuba.”
