Just a few very random thoughts tonight.
My blog buddy The MaryHunter had a few “technical issues” with TMH’s Bacon Bits earlier today which leads to a few of those ramdom thoughts:
- Computers are a wonderful invention — when they work they way you want them to. The rest of the time? Over priced boat anchors.
- Blogging is a lot of fun. For one thing, I’ve studied topics in much greater depth than I would have otherwise. Things that I would have only given a passing glance in the pre-blog days now draw much more of my attention and inspection. Still, for something that is often billed as an impersonal, anonymous activity, I have made some pretty good friends. That’s always a good thing.
- One thing I can’t understand is the maliciousness of some people.
I should probably save this for tomorrow’s First Cup post, but you need to read it now:
John Hawkins at Right Wing News has a really good post on Answering 13 Frequently Asked Questions About Illegal Immigration. I read it earlier today, and knew that I had to mention it tonight or tomorrow. Then I heard Rush reference part of that same post. John talks about that experience here. The transcript is on Rush’s site here.
I’m way to tired to be at work on a Friday night. Let me put a big red ribbon on this day and head for home.
