Breaking news from AP:

Treasury Department officials asked people to move away from windows in one section of the main building Thursday after a suspicious car was sighted outside.
Staffers and reporters were told to move to the hallway.

Norman Foote, the building’s security specialist, said the building was not being evacuated. The suspicious vehicle was being investigated by authorities.

The department is next to the White House. The security precautions were taken several hours after a series of explosions rocked the British transit system in London.

Rush makes two good points:

1. This was not just an attack on London, it was an attack on all of Western Civilization
2. There are only two responses to terrorism and it’s practitioners – surrender to it or defeat it

U.N. Security Council Passes Resolution Condemning London Terrorist Attacks

The U.N. Security Council passed a resolution Thursday condemning the London terrorist attacks.
The resolution, passed 15-0, expressed the council’s sympathy for the victims of the four blasts that rocked London earlier Thursday. At least 40 people were killed, U.S. officials said, and more than 390 wounded.

The document urges all nations to help bring those responsible to justice and expresses the council’s determination to combat terrorism. It was drawn up by Britain.
